How to up a VPN connection on an Apple iPad, Apple iPhone and Apple iPod.

The following instructions take you step-by-step through the creation process of setting up a Whatsonthebox VPN connection for Apple iPhone/iPod/iPad Touch 1x,2x,3x and 4x.

Step 1.

Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on your iPhone/iPod/iPad Touch

In settings click on the General button

Step 3.

Choose Network

Step 4.

Open ‘VPN’

Configure a VPN by clicking the VPN button. If you don’t have a VPN configured, you will see “Not Configured displayed.” When you click the VPN button, you will create a new connection.

See the next picture. If your Screen looks like the image on the left, touch the VPN button and skip to “Setup VPN”. If your screen looks like the image on the right, touch the VPN button and continue.

Step 5.

Configure a new VPN connection by clicking the Add VPN Configuration button.

Step 6.

You should see the VPN configuration screen. Fill out the fields as displayed in the image below.

In the Description field, type whatsonthebox.

In the Server field, type “the server name from your e-mail”

In the Account field, type your whatsonthebox username

In the Password field, type your whatsonthebox password

In the Secret field, type ‘the Pre-Shared Key from your e-mail”

Make sure that “Send ALL Traffic” is ON.

Then click “Save” Connection to Whatsonthebox.

When you want to connect to our service, click ‘Setting’, ‘VPN’, select the whatsonthebox service, then turn the VPN on.
